John Skene embodied a passion as a trainer and mentor who would support, advise, and guide you while taking the time to get to know you and the challenges you are facing and then use this understanding and personal experience and knowledge to help you improve. John provided invaluable support to franchisees as a FDM and in the role of Director of Training left an impact with members of the Wings Etc. Inc. (WEI) and Wings Etc Operating Team (WEOC).
The John Skene Mentorship Award carries forward his passion and recognizes an extraordinary role model in leadership from WEOC and WEI who have excelled as mentors by demonstrating outstanding commitment to the professional development of their team and colleagues. The award seeks to recognize and promote the work of mentors in leadership who play a critical role in the development of the next generation of managers, directors and more. The Mentorship Awards signal the commitment of WEI and WEOC to furthering the careers of the next generation of leaders by recognizing individual who have dedicated their time, energy, and expertise to advance the livelihoods of others.
Eligibility
Nominees must currently hold a senior manager or higher position with either the Wings Etc. Operating Company and/or Wings Etc. Inc.
Have successfully held one year of management or higher position within either company.
Selection Process
A committee of WEI and WEOC leadership members will review the nominations and select the recipient they consider to best exemplify the characteristics of the John Skene Mentorship Award.
